A new secondary school for Saddleworth
I support a campaign by local residents in Saddleworth to 'aim high' for a new school to be built on the site of the Shaw's pallet works in Diggle.
It has been announced as part of a million pound package for Oldham that a new Saddleworth School will be built however, the site has not yet been decided. I agree with local residents that this 25 acre site is an ideal location. It includes 12 acres of green belt to provide fantastic outdoor facilities for young people.
The money is coming from the Government for new 21st Century schools in our area
